To all my lovelies who need to hear this.
If you’re currently going through a challenging season in your life, (and even if you’re not) may I suggest spending some time in nature as one of the medicines to help you through it?
Sitting quiet, and being still in nature allows you to experience the unexpected. You allow your senses to feel and see things they wouldn’t have when your in the busyness of life. You get to experience little whispers and kisses from God if you remain present enough.
I just experienced a beautiful moment that brought tears to my eyes a smile to my face and a flutter in my heart.
A hummingbird that I have witnessed many times before from afar, flitting back and forth from flower to flower just flew up right next to my shoulder and stayed there for what seemed forever to me. I could have reached out and touched her, that’s how close she was to me.
My ears drank in the sound of the buzzing of her wings. The vibration reached into my insides. My heart skipped a beat like the first time seeing the one you’re falling in love with enter the room.
And then she flew away, across my eye path, as if in slow motion, I could catch that moment so indelible in my heart.
And as she left, I looked up and saw this rainbow stretched across the valley. God sending a reminder that all is well.
So if you’re in a season of transition and the challenges that can come with that, let’s take our cues from nature.
Give yourself these precious moments to be still in it as God sends you hummingbird and rainbow kisses.
God is in the details, in your midst and all is and will be well. Love S
